Back on the red carpet, this time for her own event (Savage X Fenty Show Vol. 4), Rihanna stopped to chat with EXTRA’s Terri Seymour, to talk about becoming a mom, the Super Bowl Halftime Show, and how the two go hand in hand.

Gushing about motherhood, Rihanna said, “It is crazy. It is amazing. It’s wild. It’s weird. It’s all of those things, all at once. The best feeling, the best. The most love I’ve ever known. I can’t describe it. It’s new. It’s fascinating. Every step, every facial expression, every new milestone. I love it.”
Rihanna also revealed what ways she’s changed since taking on the new role, “I’m patient now… I thought I was getting better at patience, but this will sit you down. You are forced to be patient as a mom, as a parent, just in general.”
She continued, “Your tolerance level goes down, but your patience goes up, if that makes any sense.”
So what finally made it the right time to make her return? Turns out we have the arrival of her brand new babe to thank for that. “I feel like it was now or never, really, Rihanna expressed. “There’s this weird s*** that happens when you become a mom, that you just unleash or unlock other parts of your superpower, you feel like you can take on or you could do anything.” Well she’s Rihanna, so that was already the case,
RiRi also went on to note, “I wanted to take on the challenge and I wanted to do something that would force me to get back onstage.” Because businesses, billions, and baby aside, “I’m a performer and I love it.”
After Terri fished for any deets about what to expect or whom, Rihanna remained mum, insisting, “I’m not telling you anything. Lips are sealed.”
RiRi also chatted about the fourth volume of her infamous show, Dishing she “wanted to do something dynamic and ridiculous and obnoxious and almost impossible,” because she loves a challenge. And in her humble opinion, “we pulled it off.”
