And as if that wasn’t already a huge enough deal, SOS also had itself the biggest streaming week ever for an R&B album, and the third-largest of 2022 among all albums.

According to Luminate, which is largely driven by streaming activity, the project launched with 318,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. for the week ending on December 15. Marking the fifth-largest debut of the year, and pretty much SZA’s biggest week ever — nbd.

Excited about the achievement, SZA tweeted out a message of gratitude and realness. Writing, “All the funny shit aside .. I jus want what’s mine. THANK YOU GOD AND THANK YALL ,” alongside screenshots of chart data posts announcing the news.
