Shifting her focus from modeling to singing is something Delilah has always wanted to do, but was just waiting for the perfect time. And as it seems, that time is now.
Sharing the inspiration behind her brand new track, Delilah said, “the past couple of years I was public on Instagram and on social media about my mental and physical health struggles. The inspiration behind my song is basically just what I’ve been going through and how I felt the past couple of years… I basically took how I felt and tried to put it into music and convey it through storytelling in music.”
While shooting the music video Delilah was able to overcome one of her greatest fears, experiencing a seizure at work. Going through that, it only solidifies Delilah's understanding that truly nothing lasts forever, which she shared all about.
When asked what she wants her fans to take away from “Nothing Lasts Forever” as she introduces herself to the music world, Delilah revealed that its all about the song title. “As corny, as cheesy as it sounds, as many times as you’ve heard like ‘this too shall pass,’ ‘nothing lasts forever,’ like ‘everything’s gonna be fine,’ this song has really got me through a lot."
"Even to the extent of like a breakout, you have like a pimple, or a migraine, or anything," shed added. "I want it to be relatable and for people to really take away whatever resonates with them from the song.”
Oh and as for whether her mom would follow in her musical footsteps, and give us a little Erika Jayne situation, Delilah admitted, “I think.. I mean I don’t know, its Lisa, she does whatever she wants to do. I think a music video would be quite fitting for her.”
