Frank Reich, Colts 'working to add' Nick Foles

Five years after they helped the Philadelphia Eagles to win the first Super Bowl title in franchise history, could Nick Foles and Frank Reich reunite with the Indianapolis Colts?

Zak Keefer of The Athletic says that the Colts "are working to add" Foles, saying that while a deal isn't yet completed, one could be agreed to next week.

Foles would back up Matt Ryan, who the Colts acquired from the Atlanta Falcons in March.

It would also add another layer to the strange history between Foles and Carson Wentz. Foles, of course, replaced an injured Wentz in December of 2017, and helped the team to win a a championship in his absence. A year later, Wentz went down with a back injury in December, and Foles led the Eagles to the postseason and a double-doink aided win over the Chicago Bears in the Wild Card Round.

This wouldn't exactly be Foles replacing Wentz, but it would hardly be shocking if the 33-year-old somehow ended up playing and leading the Colts to the postseason, something his former teammate couldn't do in his lone season in Indianapolis.
