Former linebacker Seth Joyner announced Monday that he won't return to NBC Sports Philadelphia for the 2022 NFL season, meaning he is departing the network's pre and postgame Eagles coverage
In the announcement video, Joyner talked about things running their course and alluded to another opportunity that he plans to announce soon:
An eighth-round pick out of Texas-El Paso in 1986, Joyner spent the first eight seasons of his NFL career with the Eagles. During that period, he racked up 875 combined tackles, forced 21 fumbles and recorded 37 sacks. Joyner was inducted into the Eagles Hall of Fame in 2018.
While there's no reason to believe that Michael Barkann and Barrett Brooks won't return for Pre and Postgame Live, Joyner has become the second defector from the show this offseason. Pro Football Hall of Famer Ray Didinger retired from both NBC Sports Philadelphia and SportsRadio 94 WIP last month.
