The Chiefs threw their hat into the craziest NFL offseason in decades on Tuesday, sending All-Pro wide receiver Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins for five future draft picks. Some in Kansas City are scratching their heads, wondering what the team's plan to keep up in the AFC West is now, while others are a bit more understanding of the move. But either way, where do the Chiefs head from here? 610's Cody and Gold called up The Athletic's Chiefs reporter Nate Taylor to try and get his take.
"It gives you options," he said. "If you get two first round picks ... you can take maybe a pass rusher at the 10 spot, and you can move up a little bit more in the first round of the draft and take a receiver. And you can be like, 'Hey, we knew we had to build for the future of Patrick Mahomes, and this is the way the cycle usually goes.' But I'd just like to remind people, how many years was Randy Moss on the New England Patriots? And guess what kids? The New England Patriots were just find competing year after year, because they had Tom Brady. Sometimes a player tells you, 'Hey, I want to make to make the most money at my position in the league.' And if you can get two first-round picks, it's usually sayonara."
