Heading into the locker room at halftime, things didn't look great for the Chiefs' defense. Despite getting into the end zone on a Nick Bolton scoop-and-score, the unit had given up 24 points, 270 yards, 17 first downs, and were on the field for almost 22 minutes. Philly was moving the ball at will, and with Patrick Mahomes seemingly re-aggravating his ankle injury late in the 2nd quarter, the game felt close to getting away from Kansas City. The second half, though, was a totally different story: Philly only managed to score 10 more points all game, and now the Chiefs are Super Bowl champs. Immediately after the game, Bolton talked with reporters about what changed at half.

"I think early in the game, we just kind of just let some plays go," he said. "We could have had a chance to make a play on a deep ball, tackling was a little shaky at the beginning. We honed in on those things, and I feel like it kind of helped us, sustaining drives a little bit and forcing field goals."
