On Tuesday afternoon, the NFL announced that Chiefs pass rusher Frank Clark would be suspended for the next two games for violating the personal conduct policy. The suspension comes from Clark's past offseason legal issues, when he was arrested in March of 2021 for illegal possession of a firearm. Clark will now miss games against Tennessee and Jacksonville, and while 610's Chiefs Insider Pete Sweeney expected some sort of suspension, he talked with The Drive on Tuesday afternoon about the confusing timing of it all.
"It's a little surprising," he said. "I think we all thought something might be coming. But to your words, and just the idea of the process that the NFL goes through, it really does seem there's no rhyme or reason to the timing of these things. And you just wish, as a fan, and you devote time and money and energy to these things, that the process would be a little more transparent. But it is what it is. There will be no appeal, according to reports, and so no Frank Clark against the Titans and the Jaguars."
