Chiefs score defensive touchdown on first play of game

(610 Sports) – It didn't take long for the Chiefs to put points on the board against the division rival Las Vegas Raiders, on Sunday.

Raiders running back Josh Jacobs took a handoff from Derek Carr on the first play and attempted to bounce a run to the outside and was met by Chiefs defensive tackle Jarran Reed, who slammed Jacobs to the ground, jarring the ball loose in the process. Chiefs cornerback Mike Hughes was able to pick the ball up and take it in from 19 yards out to get the scoring started early.

The offensive miscue for the Raiders is a continuation of the first meeting between the two teams, in which Kansas City dominated 41-14. The Raiders were never able to get into a rhythm offensively and it looks like more of the same, today.
