(610 Sports) – Former Clemson wide receiver and one-time first-round prospect Justyn Ross has signed an undrafted free agent deal with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Ross, who led the ACC in receiving as a freshman in 2018, was not selected in the NFL Draft due to medical concerns related to a neck injury that forced him to miss the entire 2020 season.
The former four-star standout receiver missed the 2020 season following surgery to address a congenital fusion in his spine, a condition he was born with but only revealed itself during a practice in which it was initially thought that the athlete suffered a stinger in his neck area.
Ross returned to the field in 2021, amassing 46 catches for 514 yards and 3 touchdowns in 10 games, before being shutdown for a hairline fracture in his foot that he had played on since the beginning of the season.
Ross will get an opportunity to show what he can do in a Chiefs offense that provides plenty of opportunities for big-play receivers. He’ll have to put in a lot of work just to make the roster, but he has rare upside for an undrafted player.
