Have Chiefs fans seen the last of Tyrann Mathieu's games in Kansas City? While talking on 610's The Drive Monday afternoon, Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio explained how Mathieu -- who's an unrestricted free agent this offseason -- may actually maximize his market value by signing with another team.
"I have a feeling that someone else is going to offer Tyrann Mathieu more money than the Chiefs want to pay him," Florio said. "He's got to be at a point now, nearly 10 years out from leaving LSU, where there are concerns about diminishing skills. He's one of my favorite players in the NFL, but you have to get the right intersection of what you're going to get out of him as a player, and what you're going to pay him. And there may be another team that's willing to pay him more than the Chiefs are willing to pay."
