(610 Sports) – Kansas City Chiefs' tight end Travis Kelce is widely considered to be one of, if not the best, tight end to ever play the game. With an NFL record seven-straight 1,000 yard receiving seasons under his belt, the 10-year veteran only seems to be getting better, setting career highs in receptions, yards and touchdowns this season.

With all of the accolades that Kelce has collected in his career, it's hard to imagine that he could be better at anything other than his chosen profession. According to his Cleveland Heights High School head football coach, Mike Jones, Travis was an exceptional athlete that excelled at a number of sports and may have been even better at one sport in particular, than he was at football.
Joining 610 Sports' 'The Drive' on Tuesday, Jones shared that as good as Travis was at football, his best sport may have been one that he didn't even play through high school.
"He probably was a better hockey player," said Jones. "He could skate, you know, he had the finesse, he was tough, he was a great skater. Jason ended up playing hockey all the way through high school but Travis ended up choosing basketball."
According to Jones, it didn't stop there for Travis, he could have chosen several paths and still been successful.
"Travis could have been a Division 1 basketball player, could have been a Division 1 baseball player, definitely could have been a Division 1 hockey player," said Jones.
"His hockey days were younger, in the younger days," Jones continued. "Both of the guys just played a lot of hockey, our community had a community center with like three or four rinks, it was a very popular place to play hockey. He was a great skater, he could skate, he had finesse, he was tall, he was lean, physical. Jason was the enforcer. Jason didn't skate as well as Travis but Jason was the enforcer out there. Jason continued with it all the way through high school, Travis just, you know, the basketball just kinda too over. Travis, he liked basketball I think more than anything, to be honest with you."
