You know things are back to normal in Kansas City when people are referencing the Chiefs' 2019 Super Bowl win again. In the midst of an impressive six-game winning streak, there's been a consistently-growing, bullish outlook on the Chiefs' once-unlikely playoff hopes. Earlier this week, Chiefs insider Pete Sweeney took that a step further, saying that in some ways, this year's team is starting to feel a lot like the 2019 World Champions.
"I think what you've seen all year is just guys picking each other up on defense," Sweeney said. "The thing I like about it right now, and my grand takeaway, is they're such a tightknit group. And you can tell from the tragedy that Sneed had, but they're also having a lot of fun again. And it feels, for the first time, fun-wise, like it did in 2019. And I just think that's a very scary proposition for the AFC."
