(610 Sports) – New Kansas City Chiefs running back Ronald Jones had his introductory press conference on Monday and one topic of note, was his reunion with fellow free-agent addition and former college teammate, JuJu Smith-Schuster. The pair played together for two seasons at the University of Southern California.

One of the first questions Jones was asked, was his thoughts on JuJu's career and how he thought Smith-Schuster would fit into the Chiefs' offense?

"JuJu, yeah he's physical, a great athlete, great in space, it's gonna be interesting to see," said Jones. "I'm excited to work with him again, we bring a lot of success wherever we go."

The two did have success in their two seasons together at USC, culminating in a 10-3 record and Rose Bowl victory in 2016. During those two seasons, Jones rushed for 2,069 yards and 20 TDs, while Smith-Schuster hauled in 159 catches for 2,368 yards and 20 TDs.

Both players are looking to get back healthy and productive after they each missed time last season with injuries. Smith-Schuster only appeared in 5 games last season due to a shoulder injury, while Jones missed the playoffs while dealing with an ankle injury. Both players have since recovered and look to make an impact in 2022.
