Two-time Super Bowl Champion and Central Catholic star Stefen Wisniewski has announced his retirement from the NFL.

The guard/center won a Super Bowl championship with the Eagles in 2017 and with the Chiefs in 2019 and signed with the Steelers in March 2020, a two-year deal worth $2.85 million.

Wisniewski started in the first game of the season for Pittsburgh against the Giants last year but suffered a chest injury in the game and was placed on injured reserve. He was activated on November 6 but was placed on waivers three days later.

He was once again picked up by the Chiefs and spent time on both the practice squad and on the active roster.

After 10 seasons in the NFL, also playing with the Raiders and Jaguars, Wisniewski says he is becoming a pastor.

“The absolute best part of my life is my relationship with Jesus Christ and I can’t imagine a better full time job than teaching people the Bible and sharing the love of Christ with others,” Wisniewski said in a video.

He also spent time in the video thanking everyone who supported and helped him in his NFL career.
