Would Bobby Wagner be a good fit on the Chiefs?

There's a bit of down time between now and when NFL free agency starts next Tuesday. The Chiefs haven't been linked to any of the big-name free agents to-be, but that doesn't mean the GM Brett Veach and company won't be plenty busy next week. So who could they target? Could Seahawks legend Bobby Wagner, who just got released this week, be headed to KC? That's what The Athletic's Chiefs beat reporter Nate Taylor stopped by The Drive to chat about this week.

"If you're a Chiefs fan, you don't want to see Bobby Wagner in a Buffalo Bills uniform," Taylor said. "But yeah, you definitely make that call and see what the level of interest is. He's still really, really good, even at an advanced age for a linebacker. Now, Seattle's in full reload, rebuild, re-tear, reconstruct mode, whatever you want to call it. But yeah, I'm assuming there will be some interest. I think for the Chiefs, linebacker's not a big priority, but you'd be foolish not to make the call and see what his market is. If it's around that $7-8 million dollar mark, maybe you want to be a player in that pool."
