The only silver lining from last Sunday's tough loss in Cincinnati is that the Chiefs still looked like themselves for most of it. Going down to the wire against the AFC North champions is pretty impressive all things considered, even if the team left the game feeling like they let a win slip away. So did Sunday prove that the Bengals are the team the Chiefs would love to avoid come playoffs? Talking with Fescoe In The Morning on Tuesday, Chiefs Insider Pete Sweeney said that's not quite the case ... yet.
"It's tough. I'm probably between the Bengals, Bills, and Chargers," he said. "And what's in common there I think is the quarterbacks. I think the Chiefs have shown they're pretty good against teams that can't really match what Patrick Mahomes and the Cheifs offense can do when they're playing well. I know I just named three teams -- I don't love the third matchup against a team you have in your division, so I guess I'd give the tie to the Chargers. But if the Bills and Josh Allen are playing well, which they're not right now ... that might be a team that can knock off the Chiefs. We just saw that the Bengals can at least hang. But the Chargers, and having Herbert and that third matchup is one I'd rather see later than sooner, personally."
