Depending on where you look, there's no shortage of opinions about how the Chiefs should approach their 2022 Draft. They have 12 picks this year -- including two in the first round -- with a number of roster holes to fill. Some have suggested they'll use that capital to trade up and grab a replacement for Tyreek Hill, while others think that staying put and taking the best available defensive players makes more sense. Speaking on 610's The Drive this week, Arrowhead Pride's Editor in Chief and 610's Chief Insider Pete Sweeney explained why this year is so exciting for Brett Veach and company.
"This is going to be an exciting draft," he said. "And I throw out the 2017 Draft, because you're never going to have more fun if you're a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs than watching them take a first-round quarterback for the first time in 30 years. So you throw that out. But this is going to be the most fun draft beside that one. And that's because you have an ultra-aggressive GM. We've seen him, every year, in previous seasons here, using 4th and 5th round picks to trade up in the 3rd round to make sure he jumps teams and gets in front of them. Now you're talking about 12 picks, and two 1's, two 2's, two 3's, two 4's. You're going to have to be ready at every second for the Kansas City Chiefs to pick. And he has shown that he's not afraid to go and get his guy."
