After losing five straight, what's changed with this Royals team?

Play-by-play announcer Ryan Lefebvre called into Cody and Gold on Friday to discuss.

What a difference a week can make. It was only one Friday ago -- the last day of April -- when things were going great for the Royals. Winners in six of their last seven, they came barreling red hot into May and a three-game series against the Twins. Now, five losses later -- four of them at home to Cleveland -- the Royals sit in third place with a talented White Sox team in town. Even good teams go through slumps at one point or another, but is it time to hit the panic button on the Royals' season? Team play-by-play announcer Ryan Lefebvre called into Friday's Cody and Gold show to chat about the team's slump.

"Yeah, that's a good question," Lefebvre replied when asked about what's changed over the last week. "I think the easy answer is what we heard a lot yesterday, and that is it's just baseball. You're going to go through ebbs and flows and, you know, we're not in a 60-game season this year, so it's more forgiving when you lose five in a row."

"You want to have more games that you pull out of the fire than ones that you through into the fire when it's all said and done," he added. "Right now, it's pretty break-even and they're still at .500"
