With all due respect to Zack Greinke's return to Kansas City, the most exciting reason to turn into the Royals this season will be Bobby Witt Jr. Witt, who's widely considered one of, if not the, best prospects in baseball, will try and break camp with the major league team as a 21-year old. Speaking with 610's Cody and Gold on Friday, Witt detailed what his expectations for himself are heading into his rookie campaign.
"Just to go out there and stay healthy," he said. "And try and help whatever team I'm apart of win. Always do that, and I think that's whenever you can go out there and have fun play the game. Play the game I've always played. Not try to get too high or too low through it all. Just try to always have confidence. Keep that mental side of the game there as well. This game, they say, is 90% mental, so I just can't really think about too much or too little. Just be myself."
