It's been a rough season for baseball in Kansas City, with the Royals wrapping up an underwhelming and difficult season this week. One of the few bright spots was the promotion of Vinnie Pasquantino, who's looked like a mainstay in the middle of the lineup for years to come. Pasquantino joined 610's Cody and Gold on Tuesday, and since the MLB season ends tomorrow, the guys thought it better to just talk football instead. They asked Pasquantino about how the Royals' fantasy football leagues are looking, and it seems like he may want to stick to baseball as his day job.
"Personally, it's awful," he said. "I'm 0-4. I made one of the worst trades of all time, I've been told. I traded the guy who's probably the MVP of fantasy right now, Saquon Barkley, for Patrick Mahomes. On the surface it's not a bad trade, but when you trade the value of a running back for a quarterback in fantasy, not the best move I could have made. And I did that before Week 1, so I didn't let him play before I traded him. So, for me, it's been really, really bad. I'm actually, across all my leagues, 0-8 right now. So that tells you how good of a general manager I am."
