The Royals are undergoing quite a bit of organizational change at the moment, with both their GM and manager being let go within the final two weeks of the season. Mike Matheny's depature was probably not a surprise to much – his time in Kansas City didn't feature a ton of winning, and the new management team in place clearly wanted to start from scratch and go in a different direction. So who could the next manager of the Royals be? 610's Royals Insider joined The Drive on Thursday afternoon to chat about it.
"The guy, if I could choose anyone available, would be Bruce Bochy," he said. "But I think it's likely to be the bench coach from Houston, or the bench coach from Tampa. Matt Quatraro, the name that's been most bandied about of late. That would be the guy I would place a bet on. But if I could pick anyone, it would be Hall of Famer Bruce Bochy."
