It may have been buried in a Friday afternoon news dump, but that didn't stop the report the Bobby Witt Jr. had made the Royals' Opening Day roster any less impactful around Kansas City. While many around the team had expected Witt Jr. to make the major league squad, there was still some lingering fear that the second overall pick in the 2019 MLB Draft was going to spend a few last weeks in Omaha. Now that he's all-but-officially penciled into the team's Opening Day lineup at third base, Royals Twitter -- and Kansas City in general -- were quick to express their excitement:
