(610 Sports) – Salvador Perez's incredible 2021 season is finally getting the attention it deserves, the Royals' catcher was awarded the fourth Silver Slugger in his ten-year major league career.
The four Silver Slugger Awards are the most in team history, he also won the ward in 2016, 2018, and 2020.

Perez put on quite a display at the plate in 2021, leading all of Major League Baseball in runs batted in with 121 and tied for the major league lead in home runs with 48, both career highs.
The 48 home runs also tied the Royals' single-season franchise record, set just two seasons earlier by outfielder Jorge Soler, who was traded to the Atlanta Braves at the trade deadline, this season.
Perez's incredible 2021 season included a trip to the All-Star Game in Colorado, where he also competed in the All-Star Home Run Derby.
