Each week Christine and Salt interview the Badass Woman of the Week, a feature that aims to reward women who have overcome a challenge and emerged stronger as a result. Each Badass Woman wins an empowering B Badass bracelet from The Power to B and is featured on-air Fridays at 7:15 A.M. with Christine and Salt in the morning.
This week's Badass Woman of the Week is Jaymie Bianca of Bristol as nominated by her mom, Roberta who writes, "I am nominating my daughter, Jaymie. She has been a 'badass' since day one! Jaymie has a twin brother, Brandon, who is on the Autism Spectrum. At a very young age, she volunteered for many organizations for those with special needs —Challenger Baseball & Basketball, Special Olympics, etc. She even held fundraisers to benefit these organizations when she saw a need." In addition to Jaymie's volunteerism, she's also ROYALTY! She's Miss Hartford County Volunteer Queen and Connecticut's Cherry Blossom Princess for 2023.

Meanwhile, mom Roberta continues, "Jaymie — who is now 24-years-old —conducts special mentorship programs for young women with disabilities, teaches adaptive baton, movement & dance classes, has researched and published a comprehensive All Abilities Activities Guide highlighting many resources available for those with special needs within the community. She has established a nonprofit organization called OpportunAbility which will continue the work already in progress but will also bring new programming into a wider area across Connecticut. Jaymie is also the chairperson of Bristol's Diversity Council, where she has established a monthly panel series with various guest speakers in the areas of diversity, equity and inclusion and has started a youth coalition that gets local high school students involved in the council. Jaymie is a 2021 graduate of Trinity College and was a triple major!" Wow, mom Roberta is right — Jaymie is a badass indeed!
