Every week, Christine and Salt interview the Badass Woman of the Week, celebrating women who've conquered challenges and emerged stronger. The honoree receives an empowering B Badass bracelet from The Power to B and is showcased on-air Fridays at 7:15 AM with Christine and Salt.

This week, we celebrate Lianna Berndt of Cromwell, a true badass warrior whose strength, faith, and resilience inspire us all. A devoted wife to Eric and mom to three (Brooke, Parker, and Summer), Lianna’s world was turned upside down when she was diagnosed with a rare, stage 4 appendix cancer—a condition affecting only 300 people in the United States. The cancer had spread to her colon and both ovaries, leading to months of grueling weekly trips from Connecticut to Sloan Kettering in NYC for treatment.

But today, we celebrate incredible news—Lianna just received her latest scan results, and the doctor confirmed that everything is shrinking! Even the cancer in her stomach lining has gotten smaller, and—most importantly—nothing has spread.

Her reaction says it all: “I can’t begin to tell you how relieved we are. Thanks so much for your love, prayers, and support. I’m bawling. Eric’s bawling. Brooke just called from U of Tampa crying. We’re all crying the most happy, thankful tears ever!!! I’m so blessed, thank you for EVERYTHING!!!! Now I can keep kicking cancer’s ass.”

Lianna, your courage, faith, and fighting spirit are beyond inspiring. You are a reminder that hope is powerful, love is healing, and strength is unstoppable.

To honor her, Lianna is receiving a “B Badass” bracelet from Baribault Jewelers in Glastonbury—because badasses deserve to shine. Listen to Lianna's interview with Christine and Salt below and let's all send her love, prayers, and continued strength as she keeps fighting like a warrior.
