Each week Christine and Salt interview the Badass Woman of the Week, a feature that aims to reward women who have overcome a challenge and emerged stronger as a result. Each Badass Woman wins an empowering B Badass bracelet from The Power to B and is featured on-air Fridays at 7:15 A.M. with Christine and Salt in the morning.

This week's honoree is Patricia Slater of Farmington. Her friend and co-worker, Cathy Magold — who nominated her — says Patricia is an amazing preschool teacher of children with autism and significant special needs. "Not only does she have an infinite amount of patience and grace for her job, but she is also an amazing mom to a just-turned one year old boy, Tavish. Her husband, Keith, was recently deployed to Florida unexpectedly to help with the hurricane relief efforts. So Patricia managed all the planned birthday festivities for her son and figured out childcare while she is at work without missing a beat or losing her mind. She just demonstrates amazing grace under stressful situations both at home and at work and is such an inspiration as an educator and mother and is definitely one BADASS woman!!" We agree with you Cathy! Check out Patricia's interview with Christine and Salt below and scroll down to see the Slater's beautiful family picture.
