Meet Piya Phunsawat, our Badass Woman of the Week. Piya, whose name means “Beloved” in Thai, has dedicated her life to the healing arts. As the founder of MoonChild Massage in West Hartford, Piya combines over a decade of experience in Thai Traditional Massage, advanced bodywork, and her unique approach to holistic healing to help every “BODY” heal from within.
Born and raised in Thailand, Piya trained with master Thai massage therapists and worked at high-end resorts and spas abroad before earning her Licensed Massage Therapist certification in Connecticut in 2020. Her philosophy is deeply rooted in respect, connection, and understanding the body’s true needs.
“Healing Art and Body Work has always been one of my passions,” Piya shares. “Every person is different, and it’s my honor to facilitate their healing. Whether a client needs deep work for muscle soreness or relaxation to activate the parasympathetic nervous system, my goal is to create the perfect treatment for their unique needs.”
Her MoonChild Signature Massage blends her extensive knowledge and techniques into a personalized experience designed to help the body heal gradually and deeply.
