Christine's Book Club June pick is here, and it's the tantalizing family saga "April, May, June, July" by Alison B. Hart. This book delves into the lives of four estranged siblings named April, May, June, and July as their paths intertwine over the course of the months of April, May, June, and July. Set against the backdrop of a family wedding, long-buried secrets about their missing father slowly come to light. The page-turner also includes elements of an international spy thriller, LGBTQ+ themes and infidelity. So, basically you cannot put it down!

In a recent interview with Christine Lee, author Alison B. Hart shared insights into "April, May, June, July." Alison revealed that she wanted to explore themes of sex within and outside of marriage, showcase a gay wedding as a central event in the storyline, and ultimately, portray a tale of reconciliation among siblings. She expressed her hope that readers would root for the siblings to reunite by the end of the book. She also told Christine how she came up with such a unique premise for a book saying it pretty much started with the name April and flowed from there.

Plus, Alison dropped some exciting news during the interview! She shared that she is already working on her next novel, "Wildfire Canyon," which will offer a multi-perspective narrative inspired by her upbringing in Los Angeles, where wildfires cast a looming shadow.
