According to The Knot’s 2026 Real Weddings Study, the average U.S. wedding now costs about $34,200 — but here in Connecticut, that number jumps to around $42,000, making Connecticut one of the most expensive states in the country to get married. But before you panic — you do NOT have to spend $42,000 to have a beautiful wedding. We talked with Lisa Antonecchia, owner of Creative Consignments CT in Wallingford, about ways couples can cut costs without making their big day feel “budget.”
