Superstar foodie and CT native Daym Drops on what food to eat at The Big E

'I want you to look for the food trucks that you've never experienced before'

New Britain native and Emmy nominated food critic, Daym Drops has some things to say about the food coming to The Big E. Daym tells Christine and Salt, not only is he a judge this year on September 20th from 11 to 1pm at the first ever foodie awards up at The Big E, he's prepared to deduct points for anyone who has the nerve to put a tomato or piece of lettuce on any of the dishes he gets to sample. That's right, this fab foodie isn't a fan of the "crunch water and the red ring of death" however, he will eat it if it's an integral part of the overall experience. And trust us, Daym treats food as an experience, "If you can't truly enjoy your food as an experience, you're just eating...you need to have a moment with your food that's different than anything else you've experienced before."

So how does one experience the food at The Big E? Daym wants you to treat The Big E like a gigantic scavenger hunt of food, "I want you to look for the food trucks that you've never experienced before...and when you see those lines, you get in that line because that's gonna be a different kind of food that's gonna throw you that curve ball that you should still be able to knock out of that foodie park."

And last but not least, don't miss The Big E, going on from September 16th through October 2nd.
