Get ready, because over 100 new laws are rolling out in our state, starting October 1st! Curious about what’s changing? Well, let’s dive right in and check some of them out...

1. Blight and Littering Fines:

First up, if you’ve been a little careless with littering or maintaining your property, it’s time to shape up! Fines for blighted properties and littering offenses are on the rise. Connecticut’s getting serious about keeping our neighborhoods clean and green.

2. Street Takeovers Legislation:

Next, for those with a need for speed – beware! The state’s bringing in some strict rules against inciting or participating in street takeovers. If you’re caught, you’re gonna feel it in your wallet, so let’s keep those wheels in check and our streets safe.

3. Red Light Cameras Installation:

And here’s the big one – red light cameras are making their debut! But don’t worry, it’s not a free-for-all. There are some pretty strict regulations, and they’re making sure it’s fair with equity considerations for where these cameras are going up. And no, before you ask, they won’t have Instagram filters!
