HARTFORD, CONN (WTIC Radio)-Environmental advocates marking Climate Advocacy Day urged lawmakers to pass four key legislative proposals this session.
The measures involve zero-carbon emissions, present and future housing for energy efficiency, home energy labels and environmental
justice, which which would enhance environmental and public health considerations when granting certain permits for new facilities.
Advocates also said greater coordination is needed with state agencies to reach the state's climate goals.
Lawmakers and others believe the fossil fuel industry has controlled the narrative for too long, but they admit economic considerations always
play a role.
