Milford, Conn./WTIC Radio - A child is dead, and Milford police are investigating.
The call came in shortly after 11:00 a.m. to the Mayflower Motel.
Investigators say the motel's cleaning staff discovered the infant lying in the bathtub of a vacated room.
Officers performed CPR on the baby until paramedics arrived and took over life saving efforts.
The baby was later pronounced dead at Yale New Haven Hospital.
Police did not release the gender of the infant.
The Milford State's Attorney's office is assisting in the investigation.
