
Enfield, Conn./WTIC Radio - An early Sunday morning crash on Interstate 91 in Enfield has left an infant dead and the female driver with serious injuries.
State Police say around 2:00 a.m., a Honda Accord driven by Fransheska Stuart, 30, of New Britain was traveling southbound near exit 45 when the vehicle veered into the right shoulder.
Investigators say the car hit a metal beam guardrail and rolled over.
The baby boy, identifed as 11-month-old Isiah Ortiz, was rushed to Connecticut Children's in Hartford where he was prnounced dead.
Stuart is being treated at Hartford Hospital.
Troopers are trying to determine what led to the crash.
