FARMINGTON, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Farmington Police say a long-time groundskeeper at a country club in town was found dead on the club's golf course.

Farmington Police responded to the report of a man found in a small body of water on the golf course at the Tunxis Country Club on Town Farm Road around 1:45 p.m. Friday.

Resuscitation efforts were attempted at the scene where Sebastian Beraducci, 86, of Plainville, was found. But, Beraducci was ultimately pronounced dead.

Preliminary investigation finds Beraducci suffered a medical emergency on a golf cart that was subsequently driven into the water.

The State Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is investigating a cause of death.
