Middletown, Conn./WTIC Radio - Connecticut State Police have released statistics from the enhanced traffic enforcement for the Independence Day holiday period through 8:00 a.m. Friday.
Troopers have reported 2,953 calls for service with 130 motor vehicle assists.
There have been a total of 157 crashes with one fatality and one serious injury.
So far, 129 individuals have been ticketed for speeding.
There have also been 26 arrests for DUI.
State police expect to continue stepped-up enforcement through the rest of the weekend.
