The Tunnel to Towers Foundation has paid off, in full, the mortgage for the family of Connecticut State Trooper First Class Aaron Pelletier.

I am still beyond thankful for having a secure home and future for my children and I under the roof that we made so many memories with Aaron in,” Dominique said in a release through Tunnel to Towers, adding that her "...family can continue the traditions and holidays that we all held so close to our hearts."

On May 30, 2024, Trooper Pelletier was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver on I-84 East in Southington while conducting a traffic stop. He was a nine-year veteran of the State Police and leaves behind his wife, Dominique, and their two sons.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the September 11th attacks. In tribute to the 343 members of the New York City Fire Department who made the ultimate sacrifice on 9/11, Tunnel to Towers is delivering 343 mortgage-free homes this year.
