
HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio)_ The Connecticut Department of Public Health says Middlesex County is now in the CDC's high transmission category of COVID spread.
Hartford, New Haven, and New London counties are also listed as high transmission.
The C.D.C. defines high transmission as 100 or more cases per 100,000 people or a test positivity rate of 10 percent or higher over the past seven days.
The State's four other counties are in substantial transmission zones, defined as 50 to 100 cases per 100,000 or a test positivity rate between 8 and 10 percent in the last week - per the C.D.C.
