Person overboard in Long Island Sound, off Old Saybrook shore

OLD SAYBROOK, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - First Responders say a person who went overboard in Long Island Sound off the Old Saybrook shore Tuesday morning has been located.

Official word of the man going into the water at Cornfield Point came around 11 a.m.

There's no comment on what led to the incident.

The individual was taken to a nearby medical facility. Their condition is unknown.

Old Saybrook Fire, Police, and Ambulance are getting plenty of local help from emergency responders in Essex, Old Lyme, Guilford, and Westbrook. The U.S. Coast Guard and Middlesex Health Paramedics are also responding.
