New London, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - A New London police officer was injured over the weekend when he was struck while answering a call about erractic dirt bike riding.
Officers say they received multiple reports Friday night of the illegal activity in various parts of the city.
According to police, one operator made contact with an officer on Colman Street before falling off the vehicle and fleeing on foot.
The officer sustained non life-threataning injuries and was treated at and released from Lawrence &Memorial Hospital.
The investigation is continuing.
Police are asking the public to contact them about this or any other similar incident.
