Storrs, Conn./WTIC Radio - ESPN is reporting the Los Angeles Lakers are zeroing in on UConn men's basketball coach Dan Hurley as their next head coach.
The sports network reports both sides have had contact.
There's been no comment from Hurley.
The 51-year-old is coming off the second of back-to-back national championships with the Huskies.
Hurley indicated afterward he wanted to shoot for a threepeat next season with UConn.
He has also said he has NBA aspirations down the road.
The Lakers fired coach Darvin Ham earlier this spring after a first-round playoff ouster.
