All told, troopers answered 75-hundred calls for service.

They also ticketed 501 for speeding and 118 for not wearing seatbelts.

Over 500 were written up for various other hazardous violations.

In total, there were 50 DUI arrests and 543 crashes investigated,  46 with injury and one fatality.

Trooper First Class Sarah Salerno says there was a marked increase in amount of activity on the roads this Thanksgiving when compared to 2020, when most people stayed closed to home due to the pandemic.

She says they'll continue stepped up enforcement right through the New Year's holiday.
