Seven Monroe officers injured following vehicle pursuit

MONROE, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Waterbury Police arrested a woman wanted for the recent break-in of 41 vehicles in Wolcott, after she collided with a police cruiser and fled.

Police said Hannah Casperson, 25, then struck a second police cruiser at Brass Mill Drive and East Main Street. Casperson then entered I-84 Westbound before striking a telephone pole in Monroe, according to police.

Casperson was later transported to St. Vincent's Hospital where she remains listed in stable condition. She has multiple outstanding warrants and additional charges pending.

Monroe Police said seven of their cruisers were struck with a Hummer that Casperson was driving during the confrontation. The officers were taken to the hospital for treatment and are listed in stable condition.
