Two injured in motorcycle crash in Plainfield

PLAINFIELD, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Plainfield Police report two people were injured in a motorcycle crash just before midnight Friday.

Officers were dispatched around 11:58 p.m. to Norwich Road in the area of Hank’s Dairy Bar on the report of a single motorcycle crash with injuries.

Police say Robert Hanson, 53, of Jewett City, was operating a gray 2021 Harley Davidson on the southbound side of Norwich Road when the motorcycle he and a passenger were riding lost control.

The motorcycle went off Norwich Road, striking the guardrail and stopping by a treeline.

The motorcycle was disabled.

Hanson and his passenger were transported to Norwich Backus Emergency Care Center for treatment of their injuries.

No other information is available as the rest of the crash remains under investigation.
