West Hartford, Conn./WTIC Radio - West Hartford police say a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle on Mohegan Drive on Wednesday has now died.
The victim has been identified at Carlos Galarza, 60, of Bridgeport.
Galarza's was the second pedestrian related death in West Hartford in as many days, and the third such crash in recent days.
Police Chief Vernon Riddick said "the West Hartford Police Department Traffic Division and the town’s Engineering Department will evaluate the contributing factors to these accidents, and then implement corrective action measures - including directed traffic enforcement."
Riddick also reminded drivers and pedestrians to be aware of their surroundings, obey traffic laws, and avoid distractions while driving or out walking.
