Yesi Ortiz is a Mexican American LA. radio host and Assistant Brand Manager for 97-1 NOW! In her 17 years in the music industry she helped with breaking new artists via her iconic New @ 2 Feature on Power 106. Her early years in radio began in Las Vegas, Tijuana Mex & San Diego.
Through the years, she produced a docu-series called ‘Single w/7’, following her journey as she raised & adopted her sister’s 6 children. She co-hosted a television show called “The Collective Powered by Vevo,” produced by Jennifer Lopez. Her talents brought her to be casted in “VH1’s Love & Hip Hop Hollywood Season 1,” CBS “The Talk” as a Top Talker, among many others.
As stay-at-home orders continued to rise, Yesi began hosting digital spaces with activist, journalist, and celebrities. Most recent, The People’s Assembly w/ CNN Political commenter Angela Rye, Actor Kendrick Sampson & musical guest, Aloe Blacc & Las Cafeteras. Yesi is a co-founder of L.I.M.A COALITION (Latinos in Media & Arts) working to equalize Latino talent and recognition in the arts and media industry. She also produces a podcast with her partner Dr. Milo L. Dodson titled MENTAL HEALTH IS R.E.A.L. (Reflecting Empathy and Love) destigmatizing mental health in underserved communities.
