Say what you will about their ethics, no one publishes more celebrity bombshells than TMZ ... And they never seem to be wrong.

In this case, they're exclusively reporting that on the cusp of a much-anticipated 90210 reboot, star Luke Perry suffered a major stroke.

Per TMZ, Paramedics responded to Luke's home in Sherman Oaks around 9:40 a.m. yesterday.

"We know the call came into the fire department for someone suffering a stroke, and Luke was transported to a nearby hospital. It's unclear what his condition is right now," the gossip site reported.

Perry, 52, had been shooting episodes recently in L.A. on the Warner Brothers lot.

While all of his former costars, including Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Jason Priestly, Brian Austin Green, Tori Spelling and Gabrielle Carteris signed on for the reboot, Luke had not signed on to the project.

He was a central component of the show, playing bad boy Dylan McKay for ten seasons of teen angst in the 1990s and early 2000s.

In real life, Perry continues to play acting roles on network television. He divorced Rachel Sharp in 2003 after 10 years of marriage; During the show, he dated co-stars Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth.
