Barry Sanders' Cleats From His Final Game Are Up For Auction

Heritage Auctions has Sanders final size 9 Nike cleats up for auction on their site.

Game worn Nike cleats from diminutive dynamo's final NFL season and game. Like Jim Brown more than three decades earlier, Sanders quit while he was still at the top, amassing an incredible 1,491 rushing yards and thirty-seven receptions in his swansong season.The size nine Nike Zoom Air pair offered here features a white leather and blue suede colorway with Velcro straps. Dirt remnants are still visible on the cleats and midsoles, with "20" in vintage black marker on the outer heels. Sanders appears to be wearing these style of cleats in his final NFL game versus the Baltimore Ravens at Ravens Stadium at Camden yards on December 17, 1998, the only time he could have worn this style during the season. LOA from Heritage Auctions.

Sanders' final game was December 27, 1998 against the Baltimore Ravens. He had 19 carries for 41 yards and caught two passes for 15 yards.
