STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (97.1 The Ticket) -- With his team trailing by 13 points heading into halftime of their game at Penn State Tuesday night, John Beilein received two technical fouls and was ejected from the game.
Beilein was arguing with officials as the teams were heading to their locker rooms after a no-call on a hard screen right before the first-half buzzer. Zavier Simpson ran into a Penn State player's screen near the perimeter and got knocked down hard.

— Kase (@KaseyWeston) February 13, 2019I am guessing the screen on Simpson is what set Beilein off. Looked like a bit of embellishment from Zavier if you ask me. pic.twitter.com/Fj0j1mraVe
— Eric Shap (@eric_shap) February 13, 2019Beilein had clearly been upset with other calls and no-calls from the officials throughout the first half.
The last-place Nittany Lions already held a 40-27 lead over first-place Michigan and were given four free throws coming out of the break. Freshman Rasir Bolton made three of four.
It was apparently the first time Beilein had been ejected during his tenure at Michigan.
